Best Selling Cookbook Author Braiden Rex-Johnson on Dishware Designer Bowles' New Book

Braiden is a best-selling cookbook author; a regular contributor to Pacific Northwest, The Seattle Times Sunday magazine; and a columnist for Wine Press Northwest and Amazon.com's Al Dente blog. In her Northwest Wining & Dining she offered a lovely recap of author and designer Rosanna Bowles' book launch this month: "Once the crowd quieted down, Rosanna thanked her daughter, Howard Schultz (yes, THE Howard Schultz of Starbucks fame, a close friend), John Granen (the photographer who followed her all over the world taking pictures of her for the book), Dr. Pepper Schwartz (well-known sociologist and Rosanna’s agent), but most of all her mother. 'My mother, who is no longer with us, was my muse and role model and the love of my life,' she said. 'All I am doing is passing along her legacy to you.'"

Spencer and Braiden with Kat and Margo

It's always a treat seeing Spencer and Braiden-- she's the author of many cookbooks you likely have on your shelf plus blogs and writes about food for the Seattle Times and more. If you haven't already, do go visit Braiden at www.northwestwininganddining.com.

And to all my Oly friends, she will be doing a booksigning, discussion of food-and-wine pairing, and sample recipes from her Pacific Northwest Wining & Dining book at the Bayview School of Cooking in Olympia, Washington, on Friday, May 23, 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
