Best Selling Cookbook Author Braiden Rex-Johnson on Dishware Designer Bowles' New Book

Braiden is a best-selling cookbook author; a regular contributor to Pacific Northwest, The Seattle Times Sunday magazine; and a columnist for Wine Press Northwest and Amazon.com's Al Dente blog. In her Northwest Wining & Dining she offered a lovely recap of author and designer Rosanna Bowles' book launch this month: "Once the crowd quieted down, Rosanna thanked her daughter, Howard Schultz (yes, THE Howard Schultz of Starbucks fame, a close friend), John Granen (the photographer who followed her all over the world taking pictures of her for the book), Dr. Pepper Schwartz (well-known sociologist and Rosanna’s agent), but most of all her mother. 'My mother, who is no longer with us, was my muse and role model and the love of my life,' she said. 'All I am doing is passing along her legacy to you.'"

Dr. Richard Baxter in UK Observer

Why the dip in plastic surgery last year? Is it a trend that's due to the recession or is something more at play in the USA? Paul Harris' article in the Sunday London Observer featured Dr. Baxter's perspective on the recent release of the 2009 US cosmetic surgery stats. Baxter's take?

The economy did indeed cause folks to defer surgery in 2009, and rely on less expensive procedures such as Botox and fillers for another year. But let's face it, Baxter says, these less invasive procedures can only help for so long, and he is already seeing signs of a rebound this year as folks experience "frugality fatigue".

DETAILS Magazine Includes Tavern Law in JJ Goode's Bed and Breakfast Story

Writer Goode, wrote up a great piece on morning after breakfasts plus "'Day Drinking'-- the best ways to wash down your breakfast--and potentially get an A.M. party started."

He included David Nelson's "Antoinette" cocktail plus the recipe which is:

Combine 3/4 oz each of St-Germain elderflower liqueur, Strega, and freshly squeezed lemon juice in a shaker filled with ice. Shake with conviction, strain into a Champagne flute, and add enough Champagne to fill. Garnish with a lemon twist. (206.322.9734; tavernlaw.com)"

Thank you DETAILS and cheers, with conviction!

The Puget Sound Business Journal mentions Rosanna's New Book!

Columnist Patti Payne shined a light on Rosanna Bowles' debut book saying, "Check out the April issue of Family Circle magazine for a nice mention of dishware queen Rosanna Bowles' new book Coming Home. Bowles is a fitting name for what she does. She stared her business in her Mountlake home more than two decades ago and has been feature done the Home Shopping Network, and in the New York Times, Harper's Bazaar and elsewhere."

Thank you Patti.
